Chilli Chai Fruits and Nuts

Ingredients
- 4 Tablespoons Chili Chai tea (divided)
- 4 cups assorted nuts (almonds, pecans, brazil, walnut, almonds, pistachios, etc.)
- 2 cups assorted dried fruits (cranberries, raisins, apricots, dates, etc.)
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- ½ cup honey or ¾ cup brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- . Pre heat oven to 375
- . Place the butter and 2 Tablespoons tea leaves in a small saucepan
- . Heat gently and allow to steep for 10minutes
- . Remove from heat, strain off the tea by pressing the strainer to get the most butter and allow to cool
- . Stir the honey or brown sugar into the steeped butter
- . Steep the remaining 2 Tablespoons tea in ½ cup boiling water and allow to cool
- . Strain off the leaves and sprinkle the infusion evenly over the dried fruits
- . Spread the nuts onto a foil or parchment paper lined 10x15 baking sheet
- . Pour the tea-butter mixture over and toss to coat evenly
- . Bake for about 20 minutes or until the nuts start to toast
- . Remove from oven and stir in the tea infused dried fruits
- . Allow to cool stirring occasionally to coat the mixture evenly
- . Store in an airtight container
