Earl Grey Tea Syrup

Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups boiling water
- 2 tablespoons Earl Grey tea leaves (use any of our Earl Grey Teas)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- . Steep the tea in the water for 10 minutes
- . Strain the tea into a small saucepan and add sugar
- . Bring to boil and simmer gently for 10 minutes and until the sugar has completely dissolved
- . Remove from heat and allow to cool – add lemon juice to taste
- . Pour the syrup over cut up fruit of choice, allow to macerate for 2 hours – or more.
- . May be prepared up to a day in advance
Serving suggestion: Serve over fresh fruit – ice cream or cake or as iced tea sweetener
