Tea Set, Song Dynasty-Inspired Design
The design inspiration for this colorful tea set comes from Song Dynasty potters who first made tea bowls from a special clay found in Zhejiang Province's Tianmu Mountains. The "drip" glaze creates an endless combination of calming colors and shapes.

Fun Fact: Fine porcelain—characterized by whiteness and translucency—was first achieved by the Chinese in the early Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE). In 1710, Meissen was the first company outside of China to manufacture equivalent-quality porcelain. Interestingly, Meissen was founded by Augustus II, King of Poland.
