Fun Fact: A "ganache" is a mixture of melted chocolate and a water-based ingredient like cream, milk, fruit pulp, tea, or coffee. Its origin dates back to the mid-19th century when a culinary apprentice accidentally spilled boiling cream onto chocolate. To avoid trouble, he mixed them, creating the delicious ganache we know today. His culinary master, amused by the mistake, nicknamed him "ganache," meaning "imbecile," and named the creation after him.
