·After you enjoy a delicious cup of high-grade sencha or gyokuro, don't throw those precious tea leaves away after steeping! We recommend our Gyokuro Imperial or Shade Grown Sencha.
Instead, prepare those spent leaves into a tasty superfood packed salad to ensure you are getting all those healthy compounds (and the most bang for your buck!)
Ingredients:
- 1-2 tbs of spent/brewed Gyokuro or Sencha leaves (make sure they are a quality tea)
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp soy sauce or tamari
- ¼ tsp sesame oil
- 1 cup cooked sushi rice or sticky rice
- seasame seeds
